Anyone who knows Bayou Texar knows this waterfront home as the Boathouse house next to Bayview Park and its strategic location affords some of the best water views of any home located on Bayou Texar. The lower two floors are constructed of solid concrete with a deep foundation to originally have a boathouse with an 8 ft opening to store a boat under the house. Sand eventually filled it in but it would be easy to put in a marine railway to store a boat and launch it from the boathouse into the bayou. I can suggest a contractor to discuss this with. The house has beautiful original oak floors, magnificent views of Bayou Texar from almost every room, solid concrete construction for the first 2 floors, and it had a complete remodel and update in about 1985 by Architect Brian Spencer, who won Architect of the year award. This is one of the best waterfront homes in Northwest Florida. Most of the appliances have been replaced and the main AC was replaced in 2019. New roof in 2020. An area on the south side was to become a deck that was to be part of a garden behind the front outside wall that I was working on when the wife's order to move was given. Same for the small fish pond site that was not finished. Now someone can create their own masterpiece! Selling reason was to downsize. My wife found a lovely house in East Hill that she had to have!
